Sternguard Tactical Apothecary

The Imperial Harriers veteran Devastator team usually operates far behind enemy lines or on the very edges of the main force. They can often find themselves days away from assistance so a specialised Apothecary accompanies the team.

Instead of the traditional pistol and sword, this Apothecary carries a bolter with a high capacity magazine. This is partly because the tactics employed by this team rarely involve close combat but it also allows him to lay his own suppressing fire if he needs to reach a fallen squad mate. He also has a Mk. 8 breastplate to help protect him from harm. He has also negated the tradition of having his armor paint partially or completely white in order to not draw unnecessary attention to himself or to break the squads camouflage disciplined.

I've always liked the idea of marine combat medics but I think the Apothecary's stand out too much in their white armor. I've already broken so many rules with my Sternguards why stop now?
