6th Company - 1st Squad - Imperial Harriers Chapter

This Combat Squad will eventually be a full 10 man Tactical squad when I get around to it but for now here are the first five marines done up in their full insignia. The winged skull on the left shoulder pad is the chapter badge of the Imperial Harriers. The right shoulder pad designates their training or specialisation (upward arrow for tactical), their number within the squad (roman numeral in the bottom right corner) and their squad badge (background, a diagonal black stripe for this squad).

I finally settled on the name Imperial Harriers for my chapter. They are supposed to be a Raven Guard successor chapter so I wanted to include a bird of prey reference. Words like eagle and hawk are a little over used for my liking and harriers usually nest on the ground which is in keeping with the back story I have for them, but I'll talk about that another time.

The banner has "Deus Ex" which will read "Deus Ex Machina" where I have the space, referring to the chapters profound ability to repair, maintain and re-purpose equipment.
